Terms, copyright & takedown

Plain-language rule: only process or publish material you own or have permission to use. The Scribe helps you create; it does not transfer third-party rights to you.

1. Your content and ownership

As between you and The Scribe, you retain your rights in the recordings, transcripts, instructions, manuscripts and artwork you provide, and you own the output to the extent permitted by applicable law. You grant the service only the limited rights needed to process your requests, provide support, prevent abuse and operate the service.

2. Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the necessary copyright, recording consent, privacy, publicity and other permissions for every source you submit and every work you distribute. You must review generated text and artwork for accuracy, originality, defamation, privacy, trademark, copyright and platform compliance before publication.

3. Prohibited use

No piracy, impersonation, deceptive authorship, credential theft or unauthorized copying.
No attempts to bypass licensing, allowances, security controls, rate limits or account restrictions.
No unlawful, abusive or rights-infringing source material.
No automated resale or sharing of one account among unrelated customers.

4. AI and publishing notice

Generated material can contain errors or similarities to existing material. The Scribe provides editorial assistance, not legal, factual, theological, medical or financial verification. Amazon KDP and other distributors make their own acceptance decisions. You remain the publisher of record and must complete their disclosures accurately.

5. Copyright takedown process

Rights owners may send a notice to support@getthescribe.com with the subject “Copyright Takedown Notice” containing: (a) contact information; (b) identification of the protected work; (c) identification and location of the allegedly infringing material; (d) a good-faith statement that the use is unauthorized; (e) a statement that the notice is accurate and, where required, made under penalty of perjury; and (f) a physical or electronic signature. We may request clarification, restrict access, preserve relevant records, notify the affected user and process a valid counter-notice where applicable.

6. Service limits

Allowances, regeneration limits, rate limits and spend safeguards protect customers and the service. Failed requests that do not produce usable output are handled according to the displayed allowance policy. Attempts to evade limits may result in suspension. No software can be guaranteed invulnerable, but The Scribe uses server-side authorization, metering, idempotency, rate limiting and cost circuit breakers.
